Chezron Stevenson Comment by Chezron Stevenson yesterday

Sometimes we fear change.  But once we make that first step, we see its not so bad after all. Start with trying to fix the problem and PRAY. If more drastic measures are needed, take a deep breathe and leap! If money is holding you, God works in ways we can never understand. Don't let that be the wall that is keeping you from living your life to the fullest.

You will never know if you don't try.  It is never too late to be happy.

Hey Ms. Judy, that is an excellent question, and complicated situation definitely. I'd say that happiness and contentment is always tops but I completely get the financial thing. Is there a way to make a plan to move to happiness and not have the credit wrecked? I'd love to see this discussion going. We have a discussion section you can start the convo in. Here's the link to create a discussion, just by pasting your comment to a new discussion here on this link ----> http://sistastrong.org/forum/topic/new?target=http%3A%2F%2Fsistastr...  That way other ladies will see it, I can feature it and you can get more views on it. This page here is more of a general idea page on the subject of relationships. Would love to hear the views of the Sistas on your question. Thanks for asking and for sharing.

@Nicole that's a great topic. So many people stay in relationships when they're well past their prime, whereas others walk away from a great love and aren't willing to put in the word. We need dialogue on this and ways to know when to hang in there vs to keep it moving.

Nicole giiiiiirl! I love that topic, check, we will DEFINITELY cover that. That's real right there and we all need that distinction on some level or point in our lives. Big Tthx for the suggestion.

A topic I would like to see/discuss...."How to know when to walk from a relationship vs. staying & fighting for it". Would definitely love to hear/see any/all views from the sistas on this one.

Just typing my response had me think of how God has worked on me in this area over the years (thank you Jesus). There are a lot of resources that are out there, but one that truly blessed me came from a guy who teaches the Bible Study I used to attend when I lived in NY. It's called The Biblical Job Description of a Husband & Wife. Sis, when I tell you this blessed me, words can't truly describe how this has helped me in all my relationships and to draw closer to God myself.  There are other resources on communication that have blessed me as well. Check it out.http://www.chrisburgeministries.com/index.php?pagekey=430&categ...

@Jasmine I love your suggestion. I know I used to hear people say all the time you need to keep God in your relationship, but never explained how to make it happen. Whenever I hear someone say that I think of that line from the movie Love Jones, where savon  ( Isaiah Washington's character) says, "Falling in love is easy, someone show me how to stay there."  With the divorce rate so high and even higher in the church, we need some honest, real talk dialogue and relevant, realist suggestions on how to keep in all relationships..married, engaged, dating, and how to get closer to Him ourselves.  @Tiff I know our SistaStrong family is going to come up with something great that will be a blessing to all!!

Nice Jasmine! Thank you for that request. I'm always looking for avenues to explore for SistaStrong, I'm making a note of this. I think it's a great place to start this column especially with the new upgrade (which I'm working tirelessly on as I type), look for more info upcoming. :) ~Tiffany
