I would like to share the information below from another group I participate for those who may be interested.

I received a phone call early this morning from a very close girlfriend hysterical and distraught. Her only daughter passed last night and I was immediately stricken with grief and shock all at the same time because it was totally off guard and I did not know what to say. I was at a loss for words, what do you say - how do you respond in situations like this??? All I could do was cry on the phone with her and let her know I'm there for her.

Hello Ladies, I'm new to the group. I'm looking forward to meeting and talking to all of you. I'm currently working on getting  submissions in for a really great and powerful book "A Mother's Fear", it's an anthology coming out in April. Please take a moment and read the submission requirements.

My name is Tammy....My daughter was 2 years old when she was murdered by the hands of another child. I still relive the day I got the phone call telling me that my daughter had been badly hurt. That was one of the darkest days in my life.  Since then I gave birth to two beautiful girls. Had I not experienced the death of my 2 year old, the fear I hold in my soul would not be as has intense.  

A Mother's Fears....hopes and dreams are all the same, but uniquely different ... Join us in sharing the stories, poems and dedication of love, hope and triumph from mothers, and daughters. This anthology is dedicated to the spirits of our children who have passed and transcended. Coping and dealing with grief is no easy task. Share your story with the world...  

Include a short bio an image, name and email address, include a phone number for phone possible interviews.  

All submission should be 1-3 pages 1500 words or less Edited by Author, Poet and Activists Jazar Kahr and Tammy Young  

Book will published By Azaan Kamau of Glover Lane Press        

Submission Guidelines are.                          1. Stories of triumph and hope.             2. Stories from daughters or any parental figure that has inspired you.             3. Stories, poems or commentary of your hopes and fears for child /children.             4. Material that is off topic, negative in any way will not be accepted or published.  

Submissions are open to all people no matter sex, orientation, religion, or race. Submission deadline is February 28th, 2012 Contributors whose submission is published will be paid in copies. Send your submissions to amothersfear@gmail.com.  Please send your 1500 words or less essay submission, 1-3 pages of poetry or a 300 words or less bio with full contact information (Name, address, phone number, email address).
